Soldier On

On November 11, 2022, the Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation and the New England Patriots Foundation announced a joint match grant to support the construction of Soldier On's Gordon H. Mansfield Veterans Community in Tewksbury, Massachusetts. Soldier On, Inc. was named the development lead for the project by Tewksbury Home Build. The 18,656 sq. ft. building will provide 21 units of affordable permanent supportive housing for veterans, comprising 18 one-bedroom apartments and 3 studio apartments. These units are included in the state affordable housing inventory and will serve both men and women. The site offers comprehensive wraparound services, including wellness programs, care coordination, case management, substance use treatment, transportation, a community room, fully furnished apartments, internet, cable, utilities, a "Let's Talk Interactive" (LTI) telehealth kiosk, and meals, all aimed at providing veterans with stability and support.

On July 13, 2023, our match grant in partnership with the New England Patriots Foundation was met, and a celebratory groundbreaking event took place in Tewksbury's Town Common. It was attended by elected officials, community partners, and supporters, marking the start of construction for the Gordon H. Mansfield Veteran Community.
