We are proud to partner with Pilgrim Baptist Church again to open our Hope & Comfort Center this winter season to provide warmth and shelter to those in-need on the coldest nights. Our program, JBJ Soul Kitchen is there to serve our guests a warm meal and a respite from the cold before they’re transported to the Hope & Comfort Center.
This season, we’re only one of the few warming centers in Monmouth County for men. The county will no longer be placing homeless individuals in motels, we expect to see the number of unsheltered people increase and we are prepared to do all we can, but we can’t do it alone. Last winter, there were over 90 Code Blue/Inclement Weather Nights issued, providing shelter and support to homeless individuals.
On this Giving Tuesday, we launched our Amazon Gift List that will further provide men in-need with temporary shelter, safety, and food. We are so grateful to announce that we have fully sold out of our Amazon Gift List items and raised over $1,400. Thank you to everyone who supported us this winter season and donating through our Gift List!
